Understand Your Medicare Plan Options
Medicare Advantage Plans
The majority of Medicare Advantage plans include dental, vision and hearing care to help with what Original Medicare doesn’t cover. Some options may be at additional cost.
Medicare Part D Plans
If you only need prescription drug coverage, Amerigroup offers stand-alone Part D plans. You can also add a prescription drug plan to your Medicare Supplement plan.
If you have a Medicare Advantage plan that includes prescription drug coverage, you don’t need a stand-alone Part D prescription drug plan.
If you do not enroll in a Part D plan or a plan that includes Part D and you do not have creditable coverage for your drugs, you will incur a penalty for every month you were eligible and did not enroll.
Medicare Dental and Vision Plans

Medicare Advantage HMO Plans
Medicare Advantage HMO plans allow you to choose a doctor from our network, who can coordinate your care with specialists when needed.
Special Needs Plans
Special Needs Plans are Medicare Advantage plans with extra benefits for people living with certain medical conditions, for those with low incomes or for those living in long term care facilities or living in the community, but requiring an institutional level of care. Amerigroup offers Chronic Conditions Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs), Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs), and Institutional Special Needs Plans (I-SNPs) in Washington.
